ENTA was founded in 2004, originally around importing commercial vehicles and machinery, along with the financing and leasing of commercial buildings and spaces. Mr. Sverrir Gislason, a Master electronic tenician and one of the founders of Enta, had since 1974 been heavily involved in communication networking services, Enta's profession soon evolved also into contracting in the business of mobile networking and other means of telecommunication, from the demand of Vodafone Iceland and Neydarlinan (the Icelandic emergency communication service). Enta employs a Master electronic tecnician, an electrician, a mechanic and assistants.
Enta has from the beginning enforced a strong financial management and can provide documentation of assets, confirmed by Deloitte and Touche accounting corporation.
We have extensive experience with BTS units from Ericsson, Nortel and Huawei, micro wave transceivers from Ericsson, Alcatel and more, and Tetra from Motorola.
Enta's employers have attended various courses and seminars related with the above, and can erect antennas in masts, complete for usage, for GSM, micro wave links, and everything related. We have attended seminars in RF cable mounting and connections, testing cables (sweeping), complete setup of BTS units, transceivers, extroverters and more. We also frequently startup BTSs and do basic coverage measurements, test handovers and data transfer and we build housings for the devices if needed. This wide range of experience makes multiple involvement on location virtually unnecessary and saves money on transportation and working hours.
Enta has from the beginning honored the importance of precision and economy for the client.
We run a well equipped workshop based in Kópavogur (a suburb of Reykjavík). Our fleet consists of a powerful Dodge Ram truck on 44" tires, a 4wd Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van (a workshop on wheels), a trailer with large weight capacity, a SkiDoo snowmobil equipped with a trailer, a quad bike, and we look forward to difficult jobs in severe conditions.
Enta takes good care of its employees safety and they have attended courses on the use of safety equipment while working in masts. While on those kind of jobs we always use the best availible safety harnesses, helmets and gear.
Mr. Gislason worked for Landsimi of Iceland from 1974 until 1987, RÚV (the Icelandic national radio and television network) in 1987 until 2001 and for Tal/Vodafone from 2001 until 2006 in its mobile department. He lays the lines in our quality of workmanship where the main goals are speed, precision and on the spot problem solving.
